Disruption is expected on Wightlink's Fishbourne to Portsmouth car ferry over the next two days.
The firm has announced it is running a revised timetable.
A mechanical issue onboard vessel, St Faith is being blamed.
Customers have been notified via the Wightlink app, although timings of affected sailings have not been revealed.
A revised timetable is in place today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday), the company said.
Wightlink has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
A spokesperson said: "The action is necessary to ensure our car ferry service is operated to the highest possible standard."
