WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Thanks to Island Roads, we have provided a handy selection of some worth avoiding.

RYDE: Castle Street will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Dover Street and George Street, from 8am tomorrow (Monday) until 4pm on Friday, July 21.

Also, Park Road will be closed for utility works, between its junctions with Player Street and Monkton Street, between 6pm and 6am daily, from Thursday until Wednesday, August 2.

TOTLAND: Weston Road will be shut for utility works, along its entire length, from 8am tomorrow (Monday) until 4pm on Saturday, July 29.

HAVENSTREET: Pondcast Lane will be shut for utility works, along its entire length, from 8am tomorrow (Monday) until 4pm on Saturday, July 29.

FRESHWATER: Middleton will be shut for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Freshwater bridleway 22 and Summers Lane, from 8am and 4pm daily tomorrow (Monday) and Tuesday.

Also, Trevanions Way will be shut for carriageway repairs, along its entire length, during the same time period. 

WOOTTON: Downsview Gardens will be shut for carriageway resurfacing works, between its junctions with Mary Rose Avenue and Kennedy Path, from 12.01am tomorrow (Monday), until Friday, July 21.

SANDOWN: Beachfield Road will be shut for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Royal Crescent and Broadway, between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily, from Tuesday until Thursday.

Also, Royal Crescent will be closed for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, during the same period.

CALBOURNE: Quarry Lane will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 8am and 4pm daily, from Wednesday until Friday, July 21.

COWES: Shamblers Road will be shut for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Mill Hill Road and Arnold Road, between 9.30am and 2.30pm daily, from Wednesday until Friday, July 21.
