Closing the Isle of Wight's summer carnival season is Ryde's main carnival, with plenty to look forward to today (Thursday, August 31).
Returning by popular request to its traditional day of Thursday, the early-evening event is a chance to get together for some summer holiday fun ahead of the start of the new school year.
Judging will take place on the Esplanade at 5.30pm, with the procession moving off an hour later.
The route will see participants leave the Esplanade onto Dover Street, Park Road, Star Street, High Street and Union Street before returning to the Esplanade.
A firm summer favourite, The Queen’s Beasts, from the Platinum Jubilee Pageant in London last year, are expected to wow crowds once again.
