A SCHOOL days history exhibition is coming to Cowes next week.

Did you, or a relative, attend school in Cowes, Northwood or Gurnard? Were you a teacher? Or do you live in a former school building?

Step back into the past and find out more on Friday, August 18.

Perhaps you might spot yourself or a family member in one of the many old photographs and videos included in the exhibition, which runs until Sunday, August 20.

Cowes Heritage and Community Group (CHCG) at the Beckford Centre, Beckford Road, Cowes, is running the exhibition.

It opens at 11am and closes at 4pm each day.

Entry is free and donations are welcome.

There will be refreshments, and the centre is wheelchair accessible.

You may be surprised by how many schools there have been in the Cowes area, from late 19th century to early 21st century.

CHCG – a voluntary group which looks after archives for the Cowes area and holds a wide range of records, photographs and memorabilia – has added many photos and documents to the 2005 School Days presentation by Cowes Heritage.
