A new documentary recounting the harrowing disappearance and death of Lucie Blackman landed on Netflix two weeks ago.
Lucie, from Sevenoaks, Kent, was working as a hostess in Tokyo, Japan, when she went missing in July 2000.
Her dismembered remains were found in a cave seven months later.
Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case goes over her disappearance and the subsequent police investigation.
It also features interviews from Lucie's father, Tim Blackman, who led the decade-long campaign for justice.
A synopsis for the documentary reads: "July 1, 2000. British 21-year-old Lucie Blackman goes missing in Tokyo, sparking an international investigation — and an unyielding quest for justice."
Tim, who lives on the Island, gave a press conference to the world's media from Ryde hours after hearing of his daughter's death.
In the years after her death, Tim set up the Lucie Blackman Trust to support British nationals in crisis overseas.
In 2020, the charity was renamed to LBT Global after Tim and the family stepped aside.
Also featuring in the documentary is journalist Dave Russell, who lives on the Island.
Working for ITV, he covered the events from Tokyo and struck up a friendship with Tim.
Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case is streaming now on Netflix.
