Crowds attending carnivals on the Isle of Wight are being reminded not to throw items at floats during processions.
It comes after princesses taking part in Ventnor Carnival had things thrown towards them.
Shanklin Carnival posted to say one of its floats was targeted.
A spokesperson said: "As much as we had a lovely time, there were some young people in the crowd who were throwing things at the princesses.

"Can we please just remind you if you are with a young child, please make sure nothing is thrown at the girls."
The County Press has been told silly string, bangers and cap balls were among the items thrown.
Ventnor Carnival Association said: "Throwing bangers etc are a health and safety issue and people spend lots of time and money on costumes/floats and do not want them spoilt or damaged."
The items are not permitted at Ventnor Carnival, the association confirmed.
It added that it did not authorise street sellers on the night.
There was music, laughter and cheers when the carnival weaved its way through the town on Wednesday evening.
The County Press was there to watch.
