The dates are already in the diary for next year's Beer, Music, Poetry and More Beer Festival, which is held at an East Cowes holiday park.

Between September 8 to 10, The Waverley park welcomed revellers to its 2023 event, raising money for the Isle of Wight Defibrillators group.

A whopping £4000 was raised and Steve Read, from the lifesaving organisation,  said: "We are incredibly grateful to Julian Adams and the team at The Waverley Holiday Park, the local
musicians and spoken word artists and of course the public, who so generously put their hands in their pockets to raise so much money."

This was the 12th charity festival and Island bands The Bohemians, The Damien Paul Band, The Geckos and The Baggywrinkle Blues Band were on stage, along with spoken word specialists Adam Gaterall and Superb Owl.

Money was raised through the sale of beer and cider, including the popular Earl’s RDA, which was donated by local brewing company, Island Ales, and buckets were also passed around.

The Waverley Holiday Park's Julian Adams said: "I was blown away by this year's festival and it was definitely the best one yet.

"We nearly sold out of cider on the Friday, due to the scorching weather, but managed to secure emergency supplies.

"All the bands, the sound engineer, the volunteer bar staff, security, and the chefs worked extremely hard to create a truly special and unique event."

It will be back next year, with dates announced for September 13-15.
