RYDE Marina Bowls Club celebrated a great season on the greens — despite all the bad weather the Isle of Wight had — with their traditional finals weekend. 

All the matches proved to be exciting to watch. 

To put the icing on the cake, the ladies had a particularly brilliant season, with the D Team winning the Island League Division 1 title, as well as the Island's Top Club award and the national Top Club accolade. 

The ladies also represented the Island in five events in the National Championships in Leamington Spa. 

The senior fours team of Leen Hampshire, Carole Wolton, Sandra Aldridge and Anne Bernard finished as champions.
