WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Thanks to Island Roads, we have provided a handy selection of some worth avoiding.

NITON: Church Street will close during utility works, allowing access to premises and businesses, between its junctions with Star Inn Road and High Street, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, November 24.

Also, a one-way restriction will be introduced along Star Inn Road, from its junction with Church Street and Blackgang Road, in a north-south direction.

The one-way restriction along the High Street, between its junctions with Church Street and Blackgang Road, will be revoked.

A 'no waiting at any time' parking restriction will be introduced along High Street, on both sides, between its junctions with Church Street and Blackgang Road and along Blackgang Road on both sides, between its junctions with High Street and Star Inn Road. 

An alternative route will be signposted locally.

CARISBROOKE: Nodgham Lane will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Clatterford Road and Calbourne Road, from 8am on Tuesday until 4pm on Wednesday, November 22.

BEMBRIDGE: Culver Down Road will close during utility works along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, November 17, or when the works are completed.

WOOTTON: Firestone Copse Road will shut during utility works along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, November 24, or when works are completed.

BRADING: Quay Lane will close during utility works, between its junctions with Cliff Close and High Street, between 8am on Monday and 4.30pm on Wednesday, November 22, or when works are completed.

ARRETON: Newport Shute will shut during street furniture repairs, along its entire length, over one shift, sometime between Monday and Wednesday. 

BRIGHSTONE: Thorncross Lane will close during street furniture repairs, along its entire length, over one shift, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, November 10.
