The Isle of Wight's Ad Lib Theatre group is back, with its production of the Shakespeare classic, Macbeth, but set in the modern day.
This weekend, at Bembridge Village Hall, the themes of ambition, guilt, the balance of power, and how far we would go for love will be explored.
This production’s contemporary setting aims to show how these themes are as relevant today as they were over 400 years ago.
Ad Lib Theatre is no stranger to the works of the Bard. It staged sell-out open-air productions of Hamlet in 2022 and The Comedy of Errors, earlier this year.

Ad Lib Theatre says this is a great opportunity for the Isle of Wight's GSCE students to see one of their featured English Literature texts being performed.
The Scottish Play will take to the stage on Friday, November 24 (which is now sold out), as well as at 7.30pm on Saturday, November 25 and 2.30pm on Sunday, November 26.
The tragedy was first performed in 1606.
