"Corn dolly lady" Pat Burgess is preparing to open her pop-up shop at her Whiteley Bank home, selling Christmas wreaths.

Her home has been a stop-off for five decades for people looking to buy gifts such as corn dollies, but she also makes Christmas items and festive wreaths.

Pat cuts willow from the field behind her house - a field she tried to buy for about 50 years before she finally took it over six years ago.

Pat, 76, first started getting creative with grasses and willows at around the age of nine, when she lived at Bathingbourne and picked grass while walking home.

Her sister Jean makes pickled onions and is also a maker, and her goods are sold at Whiteley Bank too.

The wreaths are £5 each. They donate the proceeds to charity, in particular the women's refuge.

Pat's Christmas shop (in her garage) is open from Saturday, December 2. It will then be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and from 1pm to 4pm from Monday to Friday.
