An Isle of Wight High Street crash blocked a main route into Newport this afternoon (Wednesday, December 6), prompting an emergency response.
UPDATE: Injuries reported after crash involving car and pedestrian blocks High Street
Police and ambulance teams have been on Carisbrooke High Street, following reports of a traffic collision.
The incident happened outside The Eight Bells pub, just down from the Co-op.
A witness has told the County Press the collision blocked the road, but traffic has since started moving again.
Emergency teams have been contacted for a statement.
