WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid in some of the major towns.

IN VENTNOR:

  • Bellevue Road — closed during utility works, along its entire length, between 8am tomorrow (Monday) and 5pm on Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.
  • Southgrove Road — shut during utility works, along its entire length, between 8am on Tuesday and 4pm on Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.  
  • Madeira Vale — will close during utility works, along its entire length, between 8am tomorrow and 6.30pm on Friday, December 22. There is no alternative route.

IN RYDE:

  • Monkton Street — will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Park Road and Winton Street, from 9am tomorrow until 6pm on Friday, December 15. An alternative route will be signposted. 
  • Mayfield Road — will close during utility works, between its junctions with St Vincents Road and Pell Lane, sometime overnight between 7pm tomorrow and 6.30am on Tuesday. An alternative route will be signposted. 
  • Queens Road — will shut during lining works, between its junctions with Binstead Road and Westwood Road, between 9am tomorrow and 5pm on Friday, December 15. An alternative route will be signposted.  

IN EAST COWES:

  • Beatrice Avenue — will close during utility works, between its junctions with Saunders Way and Whippingham, Road, between 9am tomorrow and 4pm on Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.

IN NEWPORT:

  • Whitepit Lane — will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Castle Road and Chandler Close, between 8am tomorrow and 6pm on Friday, December 15. An alternative route will be signposted.

IN COWES:

  • York Street — will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Bridge Road and Langley Road, over one shift, sometime through until and including tomorrow. An alternative route will be signposted.
