A trio of rowers from the Isle of Wight, who are taking part in an epic Atlantic challenge for charity, have been given a welcome boost thanks to TV wildlife presenter, Steve Backshall.
The celebrity naturalist sent the Mermaid Atlantic team a video message, wishing them "the best of luck" for the rest of their journey.
The crew Chris Mannion, Paul Berry and Xavier Baker are now more than half-way through their epic rowing fundraiser, The World’s Toughest Row Atlantic Challenge.
They aim to raise at least £7,500 in support of ocean preservation causes.

It's not been plain sailing for the trio, however. They've faced rough conditions, were forced to fire an emergency flare, and also had a near miss with a tanker.
The 1,500- nautical mile journey so far has even been an assault on the senses at times, as they have also had to endure seasickness.
But there have been light-hearted moments of wildlife spotting — from Minke whales and dolphins, to flying fish assaults, the company of a resident sea bird and a sucker fish on the hull.
And words of encouragement from Steve Backshall would have lifted spirits further.
The TV presenter said: "I have heard about your project. Amazing work. It is sensational you are supporting all your charities and I wish you all the best of luck with your extraordinary Atlantic challenge."
Sharing the clip on social media, Mermaid Atlantic said: "Just a little message from Steve Backshall to keep the boys in good spirits.
"I’m sure he needs no introduction, however he’s best known for being a British explorer and presenter. Thank you Steve! The boys will be stoked."
