Hit Channel 5 show Isle of Wight: Jewel of the South returns to TV screens tonight (Thursday).

Narrated by Alan Titchmarsh, the documentary follows the lives of residents whose families have lived here for generations, as well as newcomers.

The four-part series was filmed last summer.

In tonight's episode, we will meet sisters Louise Hart and Jenny Simmons, from the Isle of Wight Ice Cream Company.

Isle of Wight: Jewel of the South airs tonight at 8pm on Channel 5.

It will also be available to watch on demand HERE after broadcast.


And on the water, it's all hands on the deck for sailor Libby Finch and her crew on their yacht the Nightjar as they compete in the iconic Round the Island Race.

Meanwhile, amateur inventor Nick Pointing unveils his Chitty Chitty Bang Bang replica car, which he built for his wife.

The episode also features ecologist Jamie Marsh from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and a group of dedicated volunteers.

They are in a race against time and tide to gather thousands of precious seagrass seeds needed to repopulate the depleted seagrass meadow.
