Red Jet 7 has come back into service following her annual refit, Red Funnel has announced.

It means the service can continue, after it was suspended for most of yesterday (Monday).

Yesterday, an oil leak was discovered on Red Jet 6  and it had to be withdrawn from service. 

It meant there were no boats, with Red Jet on a refit and Red Jet 4 also out of action.

A Red Funnel spokesperson said: "Due to an oil leak discovered on Red Jet 6, it has been necessary to withdraw her from service to carry out immediate repairs.

"Red Jet 7 will return to service to pick up our currently revised timetable, which will now be extended until Monday, February 5."
