Red Funnel has announced further cancellations to its vehicle ferry service between the Isle of Wight and Southampton due to ongoing technical issues.
Four sailings on the cross-Solent operator’s East Cowes route were cancelled on Tuesday (January 30), with an additional six now confirmed.
The disruption follows an issue with the Voith propulsion on the Red Eagle car ferry.
The Voith propeller, located at the bottom of the ferry, is built to be highly manoeuvrable, allowing the ship to change direction quickly.
Red Funnel says the following timetabled sailings have been cancelled for Wednesday, January 31:
- From Southampton - 4.30am, 7.30am and 10.30am.
- From East Cowes - 6am, 9am and midday.
A spokesperson said: "We apologise for any inconvenience to your journey."
