The next West Wight Arts Association concert will be given by the classical Irish guitarist Manus Noble.

Manus is one of the UK's leading classical guitarists, known for his strong, unique sound, original compositions and varied recital programmes.

He graduated from the Royal College of Music with first class honours and the Royal Academy of Music with distinction.

Career highlights include recitals at major UK venues as well as giving recitals and masterclasses at festivals across the UK and Europe.

In 2019 he graduated from the European Institute of Guitar Making under the tutelage of Stephen Hill and Evan Kingma, and now also works as a luthier.

His programme, A Bard’s Tale: Music and Letters across Time and Continent, will consist of readings and pieces for the guitar by William Lovelady, Gary Ryan, Noble himself and others as well as arrangements of traditional Irish and American folk songs

The concert is on Saturday, March 9, at 7pm in the Memorial Hall, Freshwater.
