AN ISLE of Wight music college is running a special event next week featuring a band member from popular indie-pop outfit Bastille.

The event, scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, is coming to Strings Bar and Venue, Newport.

Called Inside the Industry with Woody, the Platform One event will feature Bastille drummer Chris Wood.

He will give a talk on his music career, and will take guests through a range of experiences, as well as give advice to the Isle of Wight’s budding musicians.

There will also be a Q&A at the end.

Limited tickets are available, and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Doors open at 6pm.
