The Isle of Wight's Dame Donna Langley — now a Hollywood movie executive — has described her studio's recent success at the 96th Academy Awards as a "pinch me moment".
NBCUniversal’s chief content officer congratulated her team following a triumphant Oscars ceremony on Sunday, March 10.
Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer picked up seven wins, including best picture and best director, while Focus Features’ The Holdovers won best supporting actress.
Dame Donna's dad, John Langley, described it as a "perfect Mother's Day present" for her late mum and Islander Ann Langley, who died last year.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, following the Sunday's wins, Dame Donna sent a congratulatory note to those who helped make it possible.
She said: "While the parties may be over, I am not done celebrating all of you."
Dame Donna, who attended Lake Middle School and Carisbrooke High School, originally arrived in Los Angeles with no credentials or connections, and rose to become a major Hollywood movie executive, becoming the first British woman to head a major film studio.
In July 2022, she received a damehood from King Charles, who was Prince Charles at the time.
