It is time to elect a new police and crime commissioner for the IW.
Polling cards have been arriving, ahead of a vote on May 2.
Since 2021, the position has been filled by Conservative Donna Jones, former Portsmouth City Council leader and a magistrate.
Ms Jones says she will stand again and Labour's Becky Williams, a councillor on Rushmoor Borough Council, will also be in the running.
Other parties have yet to announce a candidate.
The role of a police and crime commissioner is designed to hold the force's Chief Constable to account.
The job also involves setting the budget and the priorities for force, as well as providing strategic oversight.
Before they can stand, candidates must pay £5,000.
The money must be cleared before a nomination can be continued.
