WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

BRIGHSTONE: Chilton Lane will close during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, April 5. An alternative route will be signposted.

VENTNOR: Grove Road will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Spring Hill and Tulse Hill, from 9.30am on Monday until 2.30pm on Friday, April 5. An alternative route will be signposted.

PORCHFIELD: Colemans Lane will close during utility works, between its junctions with New Road and Locks Green Road, between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted. 

NEWPORT: Alvington Road will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 9am on Tuesday until 5pm on Tuesday, April 16.

Also, St James Street will close during utility works, between its junctions with Orchard Road and Trafalgar Road, from 7am on Tuesday until 3pm on Friday.

Chapel Street will shut during utility works, from its junction with St James Street, to its junction with Union Street, from 7am on Tuesday until 3pm on Friday, April 5.

Marvel Lane will close during CCTV drainage works, between its junctions with Sandy Lane and Copse Lane, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.

Barton Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Highfield Road and School Lane, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Whitcombe Road will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Newport Bridleway 109 and Froglands Lane, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, April 5.   

Alternative routes will be signposted.

BINSTEAD: Newnham Road will be shut during drainage works, between its junctions with Newnham Lane and Ryde Bridleway 38, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, April 5.

RYDE: Green Street will close during utility works, between its junctions with High Street and Station Street, from 11.30pm on Wednesday until 6am on Thursday.

Also, Great Preston Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with High Park Road and Smallbrook Lane, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Garfield Road will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with West Street and Victoria Street, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, April 5.

Alternative routes will be signposted.

BRADING: Hornsey Rise will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 7pm on Tuesday until 6.30am on Thursday. 

Also, West Lane will close during drainage works, between its junctions with Brading Footpath 23 and Brading Byway 21, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, April 5.

Harding Shute will shut during drainage works, between its junctions with West Lane and Beaper Shute, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, April 5.

East Ashey Lane will close during drainage works, between its junctions with Ashey Road and Green Lane, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, April 5.  

Alternative routes will be signposted.

CHALE: Chale Street will close during utility works, between its junctions with Gotten Lane and Upper House Lane, from 12.01am on Tuesday until 11.59pm on Friday, April 26. An alternative route will be signposted.

TOTLAND: Weston Road will shut during CCTV Drainage works, between its junctions with Weston Manor Drive and Hurst Hill, over one shift sometime on Tuesday. An alternative route will be signposted.

BRADING: West Lane will close during drainage works, between its junctions with Brading Footpath 23 and Brading Byway 21, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, April 5. An alternative route will be signposted.

FRESHWATER: Longhalves Lane will shut during excavation and investigation works, between its junctions with Parkers Hill and School Path, over five shifts sometime between Friday, April 5 and Thursday, April 11. An alternative route will be signposted.

NETTLESTONE: Barnsley Farm Lane will shut during drainage works, between its junctions with Bullen Road and Galley Horn Lane, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, April 5. An alternative route will be signposted.
