WIGHTLINK  is warning Isle of Wight customers one of its routes will be impacted by a shortage of crew this weekend.

Due to the absence of an essential crew member, the cross-Solent operator’s Lymington car ferry service will be operating a revised timetable on Sunday, April 7.

All affected customers have been contacted and moved to alternative sailings, said a spokesperson for Wightlink.

Wightlink told its customers: “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this action will cause.

"We have been unable to source short notice cover for the absent members of staff and have taken this action as a last resort.”
