Isle of Wight beauty spot cafe with sea views near holiday park

Run by former Island journalist, Louise Hill, and Jane Giden, the cafe, aptly named The View, serves a wide range of food and drink.

Based at Fakenham Farm on Eddington Road, the building, not far from Nodes Point Holiday Park, has undergone an extensive makeover and opened for the first time on Wednesday, May 1.

Co-owners Louise and Jane, said a lot of work has gone into renovating the premises and they are now delighted to be welcoming customers.

They said: “We are very excited to be starting this new chapter in St Helens and joining the wonderful community at Fakenham Farm. 

“It has been hard work to get to where we are but we are so proud of how it has turned out. 

“We cannot wait to start meeting everyone and getting involved in the village life.”

Until last year, Jane ran the Shoreside Cafe on East Cowes Esplanade.

Meanwhile, Louise worked as the Island's Local Democracy Reporter, based at the County Press.

Despite only opening this week, customers have already taken to Facebook to sing the cafe's praises.

The View Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, tea, coffee, cake, as well as alcoholic drinks.
