Following a hit show at Quay Arts, the critically acclaimed Songbird concert will move to Shanklin Theatre due to overwhelming public demand.
Songbird pays homage to the late globally-admired singer, Eva Cassidy, renowned for her unique interpretations of jazz, folk, and blues music.
Her talent was largely left unseen until two years after her premature death at 32, when British audiences made her posthumous albums number one, three times over, following radio airplay of her renditions of Fields of Gold and Over the Rainbow.
Performing, will be Sunny and Blue Brown, Isle of Wight singers and musicians, accompanied by London musicians Nina Plapp on the cello and George Bone on piano, to give a fitting respect to Cassidy.
The concert takes place on October 30 and tickets are available via Shanklin Theatre.
