A LARGE container of what is suspected to be full of palm oil was removed from an Isle of Wight beach over the weekend, with a warning to dog walkers to be careful of the substance.
Community environmental group, Planet Aware, collected the substance from Ventnor beach and informed Island Roads and the Isle of Wight Council.
The substance, believed to be palm oil, is known to be dangerous to dogs.
Planet Aware is a group that cares about the Isle of Wight coast and beyond. They do regular beach cleans as part of their projects to raise awareness of marine pollution, and how the use of resources and waste impacts the ocean.
