A tea party was held on the Isle of Wight on Saturday (June 1) for the launch of a community book to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
Yarmouth mayor Debbie McCleary welcomed High Sheriff Graham Biss and his wife Sue to the event, which saw no empty seats.
Contributors, their families and supporters of the project gathered to commemorate the historical milestone.

Throughout the afternoon, the High Sheriff engaged with contributors, listening to their stories and reflecting on the shared history.
Graham was presented with a copy of the book and his wife Sue received a bouquet of old roses, known to be grown in 1944.
