An Isle of Wight keep-fit and dance group marked the 80th anniversary of D-Day in their own way — with a bespoke 'wartime workout'.
Members of Binstead's Spring Chicks, for women aged over 50, reinvented their moves to show their appreciation.
In a nod to veterans, they reached for the sky and incorporated the 'Spitfire stretch' and into their routine.
They also sang along to the likes of Billy Cotton and Glenn Miller.
Organiser of Spring Chicks, Alice Blue, said: “As most of us are past the 70s mark, our parents served in the war - so it really wasn’t history for us when we were growing up.
"But neither is it nostalgia. Rather, it is about a very serious six years when ordinary folk – our mums and dads – fought, worked, and endured.
"As you get older, and you see another generation of young men and women serving and fighting, you realise just how extraordinary our young parents were.”
Spring Chicks sessions are weekdays, in the hall at Binstead Methodist Church.
