Quay Arts will host its Summer School 2024, offering short courses to both seasoned artists and beginners.
The courses offered this year cover a wide range of creative disciplines, for those aged 18-plus.
They include traditional Chinese folk art, ‘thread books’, tutored by Kae Carlstedt-Duke, and abstract approaches to landscape painting with Martin Swan.
Additionally, Lucia Para will provide insight into colour theory and mixing techniques, while India Allin will introduce students to the art of plaster imprint casting.
Additionally, Melanie Swan will oversee two 'Greening the Arts' workshops focusing on sustainable arts and crafts.
These include an introduction to screen-printing with affordable eco-friendly materials and a taster day making personal watercolours (gum tempera).
All courses will be held at the Jubilee Stores artists' studio complex, not far from Quay Arts.
Tickets can be purchased through the Quay Arts website.
