A major water leak has taken its toll on popular Isle of Wight cinema Leo Leisure Lounge.

The venue has suffered its "worst leak” to date, with water streaming down one of its screens.

“I just want to apologise to the people we had to refund,” said a spokesperson for the business.

“I can’t thank you enough for being so kind about it, as it’s extremely frustrating for us!

“We know it’s an old building and we have done so much work behind the scenes to make it a better place.

“Things like this unfortunately happen.”

The venue says the issue is being fixed as soon as possible, and in the meantime, the cinema will have to change its timings and work with just the one screen.

“Please bear with us this week,” says the business.

“We can’t thank you all enough for being so patient and understanding.

“Kind customers really do make this all so much easier for us.”
