A sea of colour will weave its way through Ryde on Saturday as Isle of Wight Pride returns to the town.

Pop icon and former member of The Pussycat Dolls, Kimberly Wyatt, will headline the event.

To kick off the day of entertainment, the Pride parade will set off from Ryde School at 11am.

It will follow a route through the town, down Union Street and finish at the Pride Community Village on the Esplanade.

Road closures will affect Queen's Road, West Street, Lind Street, St Thomas Square, Union Street and the Esplanade.

Throughout the day, there will be a raft of entertainment on show.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season five winner Ginger Johnson will perform between 6pm and 7pm.

At 7.20pm, BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough will take to the stage.

Other acts include drag king sensation Don One, singer/songwriter Smashby and Island legend, Quivers.

General admission tickets are free and can be booked online.

On Sunday, July 21, Symphonix Pride event will take place, featuring a 30 piece orchestra and band, supported by drag host Cherry Liquor, Dave Jerome as Freddie Mercury and Andrew Browning as George Michael.

Tickets for Symphonix Pride cost £10 plus a booking fee.
