ONE OF Europe's top stoppers will be returning to the Isle of Wight with his academy staff to offer budding young goalkeepers a day of specialised coaching.
Former Premier League goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, will be bringing all his goalkeeping experience to Holy Cross Primary School in East Cowes, for his annual day camp, on Wednesday next week (August 7).
The camps are aimed at children aged seven to 16 years and designed to teach the fundamentals of goalkeeping, with an emphasis on having fun while they learn.

Asmir has an impressive career CV, which includes him playing for Bosnia for 11 years, amassing 63 caps for his country, and playing in the English Premier League for Portsmouth, Chelsea, Stoke City, Bournemouth and Everton.
He has been running the Asmir Begovic Goalkeeping Academy for the past five years.
It has been taken around the UK, Germany, Luxembourg, Iceland, the United States and his home nation, Bosnia.
"The camps are an introduction to goalkeeping, to teach the fundamentals of what is a unique position in a football team," he said.
"By learning more about goalkeeping, and with so little in the way of individualised coaching around, it will help raise the standards in Island youth football.
"We've been on the Isle of Wight before with the camps. It's a really good place.
"We offer something special by helping young goalkeepers to develop both on and off the pitch, giving them the experience that can be used throughout their lives.
"Most of all, we love goalkeeping and enjoy goalkeeping and we want kids to enjoy every training the way we do."
