A lost Isle of Wight dog has been reunited with his owners after he tracked down two police officers in his quest to find his way back home.
The owners of missing dog Olaf must have been incredibly surprised to discover that their furry friend had done the im-paw-sible and contacted police!
While on their way to patrol Ventnor, Olaf ran out in front of and flagged down officers PC James Caret and Sgt Ben Sharland.
Sgt Sharland said: "What should you do if you are lost? Ask Olaf the Dog - he knew to flag down the closest Police Officer when he ran out in front of PC Carey and I, on our way to Ventnor!
"PC Carey was getting a little attached."
Olaf has been safely returned home and reunited with his owners after his little adventure.
Police are continuing regular patrols in Lake, Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor, as asked for by Islanders in the Let's Talk Community Survey.
