A SPECIAL Isle of Wight event for people with a penchant for writing will be held in Carisbrooke next month.
The event, at Carisbrooke Priory, is scheduled for Saturday, September 7.
A programme packed full of workshops and panel discussions is planned, with ample opportunity for aspiring and established writers to network, and for authors to sell their books.
Fiction, biographies, memoirs, writing on taboo subjects, and writing for screen and theatre will all be covered.
There will also be a poetry workshop and poetry readings, and a panel discussion on getting published, including self-publishing.
Among the organisers is writer Felicity Fair Thompson, who said: “This will be such an exciting day, with the chance to talk to other writers and compare notes and ideas, discuss ways forward for your work, and sell your books.
“A day of real inspiration you won’t want to miss.”
Anyone with an interest in writing is encouraged to attend.
To reserve a place, email admin@carisbrookepriory.org.uk.
Early booking is advised as spaces are limited.
The Priory Cafe will be open for tea and coffee, and participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch.
