THE Isle of Wight's dual carriageway — Medina Way in Newport — will close for roadworks sometime this morning (Sunday).
Island Roads has said it is necessary to allow for grass cutting.
Over one shift, Medina Way will shut in both directions.
The southbound side will close between its junctions with Dodnor Lane and Riverway.
Northbound, the dual carriageway will close between its junctions with Holyrood Street and Parkhurst Road.
Alternative routes will be signposted locally.
UPDATE 10.02am: The dual carriageway is now open. The work has been completed, according to reports received.
