WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.
Here is a list of some of the roadworks and associated closures:
NITON: Pan Lane will shut during drainage works, from its junction with Church Street for its entire length, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
Also, Undercliff Drive will close during carriageway repair works, from its junction with Niton and Whitwell footpath 17 for its entire length, in an easterly direction, and between its junctions with Ventnor Botanic Gardens car park and Steephill Court Road, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.
BEMBRIDGE: Dennett Road will close during drainage works, between its junctions with Foreland Path and High Street, over three shifts sometime between Monday and Friday, August 23.
NEWPORT: Little London will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Newport footpath 27 and Sea Street, over one shift, sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.
Also, Alderbury Road will close during carriageway repair works, over one shift, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, August 23.
GODSHILL: Merstone Lane will close during iron works, between its junctions with Chapel Lane and Sandown Road, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, August 23.
SHANKLIN: Westhill Road will shut during excavation and investigation works, between its junctions with Westhill Drive and Manor Walk, over one shift, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, August 23.
TOTLAND: Colwell Lane will close during utility works, between its junctions with Princes Road and Solent Gardens, between 8am on Monday and 4pm on Wednesday.
BRADING: The Mall will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Wrax Road and Church Lane, between 6.30pm on Monday and 6am on Friday, August 23.
RYDE: Park Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with west Hill Road and Monkton Street, between 8am on Monday and 5pm on Friday, November 1.
