A MAN charged following an incident on the Isle of Wight involving a gun ‘being aimed at a family’ at Culver Down will go before a judge later this year.
As previously reported by the County Press, police were alerted to reports of a man seen with a firearm at the beauty spot.
They were called at around 5.45pm on Friday, August 16.
It is understood a man exited a white van and was said to have aimed a rifle at a family.

In the wake of the incident, 48-year-old Stephen Joseph Coyle, from Belfast, was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court yesterday (Monday), where he saw his case adjourned to September 23 at the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
He was granted conditional bail until that date.
