A former Isle of Wight train station turned family home is on the market for £1.5 million, marketed through Spence Willard.
For more than seven decades, St Helens Station played an important role on the Island railway line.
Both freight and passengers passed through the station up until 1953 when the Bembridge line was closed.
A few years later, it was purchased by the grandparents of the family who currently own the building.
And it was not long before they converted it into Station House.
Internally, the home has seven bedrooms, some of which are en-suite, high ceilings, grand reception rooms and glass windows running the whole length of the southern elevation.
Boasting incredible views, the old station platform has been glassed in to create a large conservatory with an eating area at one end and space to curl up with a good book or watch the wildlife at the other.
Outside, there are over 14 acres of gardens, which were once oyster beds where children learned to row.
