A carnival party was thrown for residents of an Island care home.
Vecta House care home in Newport held a private carnival party for residents and their friends and family.
The event came about when the care home's lifestyle leader, Tanya Everson, reached out for help to create an event.
Ann Abe from Dance-Vibez helped coordinate a team of volunteers to help create a special day for residents.
Mish Whitmore put forward the idea of running a carnival club for residents, visiting Vecta House every Tuesday for a month.
The event went ahead despite blustery winds, with the parade starting inside the care home to allow everyone to take part.
The parade continued into the home's gardens with family and friends in attendance.
After the parade, a performance from FaT Samba Group and a short play from Pink Cow Theatre entertained residents and families.
The day was rounded off by interactive dance performances from the Dance-Vibez group, followed by hot dogs and popcorn.
Ian, resident of Vecta House, said: "It's been a wonderful day.
"I really enjoyed watching the dancers perform, it gave me great memories of when I would go dancing when I was younger."
