A THIRD power outage has struck the Isle of Wight with several businesses affected, including a KFC outlet and a Premier Inn.

A fault with the underground power network is to blame for a power cut in Lake — about half a mile from where Scottish and Southern Electricity (SSE) is currently dealing with an outage.

It is not known if the two power cuts are connected.

Within the affected area, some businesses in Lake have been affected, including KFC, Merrie Gardens Farm and the Premier Inn and possibly Aldi supermarket.
