A towering waterspout was captured on camera off the Isle of Wight during the stormy weather yesterday morning (Sunday).
Islander Colin Shaw has shared his picture of the ocean phenomenon, which he took at around 11am while a Met Office yellow weather warning was in force.
The whirling column of air and water mist was spotted off East Cowes Esplanade.
Inclement weather took its toll on the Isle of Wight at the weekend.

Heavy rain and flooding forced the closure of several businesses, including McDonald’s, New Look, TK Maxx and Sports Direct in Newport.
Lynbottom Tip was also closed due to flooding in the area, and Quay Arts had to a cancel a show on account of the weather.
Firefighters were even called following a report of a vehicle stranded in flood waters.
