An Isle of Wight theatre company is putting on a run of a Gilbert and Sullivan opera.
GASP! Productions IW will perform The Mikado at Bembridge Village Hall between September 25 and 29.
The production company have previously performed Gilbert and Sullivan operas The Pirates of Penzance and Iolanthe.
The plot centres around the mythical town of Titipu, where Ko-Ko the tailor has been made Lord High Executioner, and must find someone to execute.
Audience members can expect renditions of the opera's well-known songs, and the plot to get sillier and funnier as the show progresses.
Tickets are available via TicketSource.
Songs from The Mikado include A Wand’ring Minstrel I, Three Little Maids from School and I’ve Got A Little List.
There will also be ‘sat chorus’ of members whose voices will augment those onstage.
Audience members in the past have lauded GASP! productions, mentioning that an atmosphere of a large opera house is placed into the village hall.
