Aggressive behaviour in Newport sparked a callout for Isle of Wight police this afternoon (Friday).
At around 3.30pm, officers were called to the scene at Newport Bus Station.
They were responding to a report of a man, believed to be drunk, behaving aggressively and shouting at people.
No arrests were made and the man left the bus station, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed.
This morning, police also responded to a separate incident in Newport which resulted in two arrests.
Officers were called to Newport town centre after receiving reports of two men, who were in possession of a small terrier-type dog, acting in a drunk and disorderly manner and being abusive toward members of the public.
The incident happened at around 9.20am, in the areas surrounding Orchard Street and St James Street.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary says officers arrested two men and seized the dog, taking it to a place of safety.
The force are now appealing to the public for witnesses.
