Three people have been arrested on the Isle of Wight following a serious assault on a man.
Emergency services attended the scene on Ventnor High Street near Tesco at 8:50pm last night (Thursday September 27) after reports that a man in his 40s was kicked in the leg, resulting in a broken bone.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police have arrested three people in connection to the incident:
- A 22-year-old woman was arrested of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, common assault of an emergency worker and possession of cannabis.
- A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and assault with intent to resist arrest.
- A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of cocaine.
All three people remain in custody at this time.
