A 15-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and taking a vehicle without the owners' consent, following a crash on the Isle of Wight yesterday (Tuesday).

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary was called to reports of a collision on The Fairway, Sandown at 5.22pm.

The collision involved two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

A 15-year-old boy from Ryde was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of Class B, possession of a controlled drug of Class B, driving a vehicle involved in a road accident and failing to report that accident, and taking a motor vehicle without the owners’ consent.

He has been released on police bail until December 30.
