New restrictions limit the amount of time customers at Tesco Extra on the Isle of Wight have to shop.
Automatic Number Plate Registration (ANPR) cameras have been installed at the supermarket off Brading Road, Ryde.
Failure to follow the new rules could result in a £70 charge being issued.
Between 6am and 8pm, those leaving their vehicles in the supermarket car park are allowed a maximum stay of three hours.
From 8pm to 12am, this is reduced to one hour.
And from 12am to 6am, shoppers will only be allowed 30 minutes.
ANPR cameras were recently installed at the entrance to the car park and signs have also been erected.
Blue badge holders are exempt from the restrictions but must register their vehicle in the store.
The car park is being operated by Horizon Parking.
