CYCLING advocacy group CycleWight and other invited guests will hear about the challenges of creating sustainable cycle path networks from a special guest at its AGM.
The meeting, at Newport Minster, will be on Friday, October 11.
The guest speaker will be Laura Laker, a respected UK cycling journalist and author.
She has interviewed key figures in British cycling, including Olympic gold medallist and National Active Travel Commissioner, Chris Boardman, as well as the Secretary of State for Transport, Louise Haigh.

Her book, Potholes and Pavements, explores the National Cycle Network and the challenges of creating a sustainable cycle path network.
Committee member, Pete Dyer, said: "This is a great opportunity for the residents of the Island to find out what is happening nationally and, hopefully, gain some insight to help improve cycling provision.
"We have invited councillors and our two MPs to meet Laura."

The event is open to all cycling enthusiasts and will present a comprehensive view of cycling on the Island.
CycleWight has had a busy year, organising the Merstone Cyclefest, Kidical Mass rides for children, road safety projects and negotiating with local authorities for improved cycling facilities.
There will be a Q&A session, with stalls and a raffle. Entry is free, with refreshments available.
Starts at 7.30pm.
