An Isle of Wight teenager is accused of being uninsured at the time of an alleged crash, which is said to have caused another person serious injury.
Owen Patrick Chambers, of Mountbatten Drive, Newport, attended the IW Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 1, and entered no plea.
The 18-year-old is charged with three counts of driving without insurance, failing to stop after a road accident, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice.

The case was sent to the IW Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on November 11.
Mr Chambers was granted unconditional bail.
