MP for Isle of Wight East has revealed who he wants to be the new leader of the Conservative Party.
In a post on social media, Joe Robertson has backed James Cleverly, who emerged as the frontrunner following the third round of voting yesterday (Tuesday).
The MP said: "He is a frequent visitor and friend of the Isle of Wight and will help bring people together."
Mr Cleverly visited the Island back in August and was shown around by the East MP.

He arrived via Hovercraft and he popped in to a number of Ryde businesses, including Royal Victoria Arcade on Union Street.
He was also pictures having chips at the Codfather on the seafront.

Taking to x, formerly Twitter, after his trip, he said: "Great to be back on the Isle of Wight visiting local businesses and talking to members.

In the third round of MP voting yesterday, James Cleverly took 39 of the 120 votes, ahead of Robert Jenrick on 30 and Kemi Badenoch on 29.
Tom Tugendhat came fourth with 20 votes and was eliminated.
