ISLE of Wight ferry firm, Red Funnel, has announced applications are now open for its 2025 Charity of the Year initiative.
The ferry operator is calling on charities serving the Isle of Wight community to apply for the chance to be its next charity of the year, with applications closing on Sunday, October 27.
The initiative is part of Red Funnel’s Changing Tides strategy, which pledges its commitment to supporting the Isle of Wight community for years to come.
Red Funnel’s current Charity of the Year is the Isle of Wight Foodbank.
The application criteria for applying to be Red Funnel’s Charity of the Year are:
- Be a registered charity.
- Have been in operation on the Isle of Wight for at least 12 months.
- Support the Isle of Wight community.
- Not held title of Red Funnel Charity of the Year within the last seven years.
Fran Collins, chief executive at Red Funnel, said: “As we move into our eleventh year of our charity programme, we feel incredibly lucky to have worked with and supported so many brilliant charities.
“We’ve been delighted to partner with this year’s Charity of the Year, The Isle of Wight Foodbank, and we’re excited to start the process to find our 2025 Charity of the Year.”
